Tytania

Through fear and conquest, the Empire of Valdana holds the future of most of human space within its the iron hands... and for generations, those hands have belonged to the Landless Lords of the ruling Tytania dynasty. But now that the foundation of the empire is crumbling, pockets of rebellion are forming. When a mission sent to punish the city-state of Euriya is shockingly defeated, the man responsible becomes the target of a galaxy-wide manhunt!

For Fan Hyurlick, architect of Tytania's first defeat, glory becomes desperation as his own side betrays him. Now Fan must not only save his own life, but somehow turn the tables on opponents who have whole worlds to command!

I'll pre-order this during the next Rightstuf sale. Keep hearing many mixed things about it ,but it looks like the type of show I like.

I just finished up episode one on the Online Player. It has a unique opening and the music is quite nice. I enjoyed the first episode enough, but I want to see where this goes before I make final judgement on it.

This could be interesting. I will watch the next few episodes.

And Cody..

It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it. To boldly go where no main character will go...

At 19:00 in the second episode, when Fan Hyurlick walking towards the shoe-shine girl, his gait is just like Justy Ueki Tylor.

Got the first collection in the mail today from TRSI. Haven't seen any of it yet, but I looked at the opening and ending themes... Because that's just what I do.

Anyway, I liked the operatic-style opening theme; it really gives off a nice Legend of the Galactic Heroes vibe, which was obviously the point. But then you get the ending theme by Psychic Lover, which manages to make a serious, LOGH-esque space opera sound absolutely hot-blooded and badass! Really, Sentai should just license every anime that Psyhic Lover did a song for, as they always deliver the goods. In fact, here's a list of what they've done songs for... Oh, Sentai already has Dokkoida?! and Tytania, FUNimation already has Witchblade, and we're probably never going to see the original Japanese versions of Bakugan and Tansformers Armada brought over here.

OK then Sentai... That leaves just GAIKING: Legend of Daikyu-Maryu and Ring ni Kakero 1! Well, they also apparently did an insert song for the first Beet the Vandel Buster anime, but who knows if Illumitoon is still alive or not.

Wait a minute, wasn't this about Tytania? Oops...

Like I said... Oops. Couldn't quite help it, as I really like Psychic Lover's songs and they don't get quite the credit that they deserve usually. Anyway, I only saw a few episodes of LOGH, but hopefully Tytania will be just as enjoyable as those episodes were. It certainly has the right people behind it.

I've heard some bad things about this one, but that first episode was actually a pretty good.

The space combat tactics are actually fairly well done (well at least for the first episode), and seems like it might turn out to be fairly cool, but I'll reserve judgement on it until after I've watched more of it.

Just watched the first episode and looks interesting so far. I'm a sucker for space combat though.

I want to know where the Japanese buy their lasers. Only in Japan could they invent lasers that shoot out from the ship and bend 90 degrees, then head for their target...lol

I actually can't remember off hand if they do in Tytania or not, but it seems they always do that in anime, don't they? LOL

Don't remember seeing any bending lasers in the first episode.

I didn't think there was in this one, but anytime I read "anime" and "space battle" in the same sentence, that's immediately what pops to mind.

I think this is going to be one of those your mileage may vary/Love/Hate shows for everyone. I've heard very bad things about it going way downhill as the show progresses ,but at the same time I've heard people saying it's worth at least a watch. I think some of the hate is coming from it not being as Epic as the Creators previous work.

I have the first set ,but have not gotten around to watching.lol
