Like Slowhand with a whip is a spoiler... now Slowhand withOUT a whip...

Roy and Slowhand bolt towards the basement without pausing for breath. At the last corner, Slowhand turned without even looking and crashed right into a tall red head female. The crash took both down to the ground in a jumbled mass of limbs and quick curses.

Roy was instantly by Slow's side, offering his hand to let her up. Slow smiled as she grabbed, silently mouthing a 'thanks'. However, she quickly turned to see who it was that caused the accident.

Redshirt1 was begrudgingly helping the new face up. He even said out loud, "As a vampire, you should have seen that coming."

"Hey, it's not My fault! This place kinda messes with my head!"

The vampires strong Southern accent was easy to identify. "Friend of yours, Red?"

Redshirt1 did not take his eyes off her, "A friend of Eric's, Jessica, I believe. Not so sure if she is a friend of mine, since she bit me and all."

"Oh COME ON! I wasn't going to Drain you! A little bite doesn't hurt that much and you would bounce right back! And you taste weird, sorry honey." Redshirt1's raised eyebrow at the word honey making her blush slightly.

Roy spoke up, "Time for introductions later, lets get down. And Red, would it be so bad to be bit by her?" Slow's elbow to his stomach convinced everyone to move on. Something felt off though. Slow wrapped her arms around herself and then realized her book was not there.

A moment of panic started to come but Red turned to her and reached out with the book, "You dropped this Slow." Roy looked at her and the book with a blank face, while Red paused for a second before handing it to her. "Odd, I just felt a strong sense of...something." He shrugged before moving on.

As the group moved down, Roy did not glance at Slow. "Please, Roy, trust me." Slow thought. It didn't help her concentration when Crescendo's voice from no where whispered into her ear, "We all got our secrets, don't we?"

Well, the more the merrier I always say..

Cody yawns and flips a switch on the jet's control console. "I think I need to grab a quick nap. I'm gonna place it on auto pilot for a while."

Tessa smiles gently. "Yeah, you do look a bit tired. I can keep an eye out while you rest."

"Thanks. I just haven't been sleeping well. It's been a few rough nights."

She giggles. "Rough nights? I'm sure they were."

Cody shakes his head and laughs. "No, not like that. I've been having nightmares again."

Tessa's expression becomes more serious. "Really? When did they start?"

Cody shrugs. "I'm not really sure. I mean, I've always had them to some degree. They come and go pretty regularly. But this time..." He pauses.

"What? What's wrong?"

He takes a deep breath. "They're worse. Darker."

"Darker?" Tessa's expression grows more concerned.

"Yeah. It feels like I'm fighting something dark, something malevolent. And they're so vivid. You know how you forget dreams pretty quickly when you wake up? They're just sort of hazey?"

She nods. "Yeah, why?"

"These aren't. I remember them perfectly. Every bit. It's like a normal memory."

"Wow," Tessa says under her breath. "Have you talked to anyone about them?"

Cody shakes his head. "No, not really. It never does any good."

She places a hand on his shoulder. "A lot has happened to you in your life. It would do you some good to talk about it with someone. If not a professional, you should at least open up to Jack or Wicca. They care about you a lot, you know?"

He nods. "Yeah, I know. But really, it's nothing. They'll blow over and go away, just like they always do. I'm just stressed. Battling zombies and reuniting with your allegedly dead sister and vampire twin will do that to you."

"True, I suppose it would. But you need an outlet for your stress. When was the last time you wrote?"

Cody thinks for a moment. "I'm not sure. It's been a while. I know that."

Tessa's face begins to redden as she works up the nerve to ask a more personal question. "Um.. well.." She struggles to form the words. "What about... what about your other stress relief?"

He looks at her oddly. "Other stress relief? What do you.." His eyes widen as he realizes what she just asked. "Oh... that stress relief." He laughs nervously and his face reddens a bit as well. "That is no problem there. Let's just say the nightmares aren't the only reason I've been sleep deprived." He winks at her.

"Oh, that's good."

Tessa's face turns a shade of red Cody though was only reserved for fresh apples. He can't help but laugh robustly at the Captain's discomfort. He decides to tease her just a bit. "Yeah, Jack is pretty inventive in the "stress relief" department," as he makes air quotes. He smiles broadly. "The stories I could tell you. Would you like to hear?" Cody winks as he reaches over and grabs a bottle of water.

A single drop of blood rolls out of Tessa's nose. She quickly wipes it away. With a sheepish, she replies. "No, that's okay. Thanks." Her feet start tapping nervously on the floor as she looks like she is about to leap out of her skin. She clears her throat. "Well, maybe some other time...."

Caught off good, Cody coughs as water goes down the wrong pipe. Tessa laughs as he struggles to breath for a moment. With a weakened voice he says "You can be full of surprises Captain."

She winks, her face still red. "Well, I like to keep you men guessing. We've got a few hours before we land in Houston, so grab some shut eye. That's an order."

Cody solutes her. "Yes captain," he says loudly. He reaches down to the handle at the side of his seat and reclines it backwards.

"You can go in the back and actually lay down, you know?" Tessa suggests.

He smirks. "And leave you up here alone? No way. You might try to actually fly the jet and my stomach just can't handle that."

Tessa stretches her arm out and punches him in the shoulder. He cries out lightly as he rubs the impact site. "You're not allowed to pick on the captain," she says smugly.

Cody just shakes his head and closes his eyes. After one shallow yawn, he gently drifts off to sleep.

After a few moments, Tessa reaches over and gently strokes his cheek. Positive he is asleep, she leans over and kisses him softly, making sure not to awaken. Unfortunately, as she does this, she hits the control stalk and the plane violently drops for a few seconds. "Crap!" she screams and grabs the controls, leveling the plane back.

The sudden drop and scream wakes Cody up. "I fall asleep for three minutes and you almost kill us!" he yells.
