I tried logging out and logging in, but that did nothing. The problem I was having was that when I clicked the save button for the payment method dialog box, nothing would happen.
FYI, I did run Java update after I first ran into the problem, but that did not help.
I got around the problem by logging into the website on my Android phone. I was able to enter a payment method and complete the subscription process.
