Yeah, I know they were intentional. It was just an interesting choice. There have been other shows that have done a similar grainy look, like Red Garden, and I can see how the creators though it fit this one well.

This show definitely had some very powerful stories. The final one was exceptionally good. It was the perfect way to end the show.

You have not answered my question . And yes it is quite an interesting choice.

The final episode is perhaps my second favorite episode. It's such a moving emotional story they tell there.

:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

I agree that was a perfect way to end the series. It's a very smart episode too, and kinda disturbing.

Back on the old TAN boards I saw the first 5 episodes. It could be a cool series but it's definitely one I'm going to need to see more of for a better judgement. Some of the episodes aren't driving it home just yet.

Another one I watched on VOD and really enjoyed. Just placed an order with RightStuf to buy it for my brother for Christmas.
"Flandre, no Molotov cocktails indoors, please." - Hime from Princess Resurrection
"Dutch, I know what I want for Christmas." - Revy from Black Lagoon

Ah one you should own too. It's such a powerful, intellgent, and well directed series. Something more people should see. I too found out about this by watching it here on TAN.

This is a series that keeps getting better and better for me over time and the more I watch it - like fine wine. I think I said these exact words in our old version of the thread of this in the previous forum, before we had to do a restart earlier this year. Truly a series with a level of depth that's so rare - with stellar production values and music.

I just love the dub in this one too. Kelli Cousins and Cynthia Martinez are awesome!

It's one of the reasons I bought Colorful since Kelli, Rob Mungle, Steven Foster and Shelley Calene-Black are in it joking around... that is one of the very rare ADV Studio "fun" extras that has ADV VAs (like Super Milk Chan). Can't wait to finally watch Colorful soon, to finally see all the buzz about it.

Oh yes I LOVED Kelli Cousins in this and Chance Pop Session. And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I wish she stared in more roles. She just has something about her, that just works. Not sure what, but she's very genuine . And the fact that she got such a complex character as Kino down pat, without making her sound cold, mean, or too emotional is really something else.

As for Cynthia Martinez, well there's no other person who can play a philosphical motorcycle quite like her. She does an amazing job as Hermes.

Luci Christian as Nimya, the lady who is an inventor (a "wizard" as the show calls her) was really was good casting. I know Luci is always good, but I loved her in this role. Hilary Haag as Lily Sakura, the little girl whos parents own an inn in the last epsiode was also very good. She made the character sound very cute. Gata love Hilary...

Yeah it's a shame Kelli had to move out of town. ADV thought highly enough of her to bring her in from out of town for her last major leading role. This, her Steel Angel Kurumi, and like you, Chance Pop Session roles are my favorites. I also really like her role in Princess Nine. I've heard good things about her role in Neo Ranga, but haven't seen that one yet!

This was definitely a high quality dub. I usually have some qualm about every dub I hear, whether it be a certain casting, or a performance, but I had no problems with this one what-so-ever. Every person was expertly cast and gave in an awesome performance.

Now all Sentai has to do is get the two ova's and I'd be a happy camper. That and the new Mahoromatic 2 ep. special.
