I need help remembering a anime i saw when i was younger. Now I only remember two scenes, and it was a more mature themed anime, NOT HETAI or anything...

I saw it on the anime network..... and way here goes, I remember there was a girl layin on the ground,unconscious or something, and a guy that was there to protect her or something, maybe sleeping idk, any way he sits up next to her and thinks to him self " I might as well f**k her right here" thats the only dialog i remember. lol.

next was near the end where he entered a room with a sword up on a pedistal type deal that was hovering and had glowing stuff around it and what not. and he had to fight someone...

I know this is pretty vague but anyhelp would be awesome.

Wow dude, that is pretty vague. Now from those two scenes, can you remember the genre it was: syfy, s&s, etc. Can you describe what the male and female looked like/what they were wearing?

At this point anything can help?

Since you said something bout a sword, I take it, it was a fantasy/sword and sorcery style show?

Sounds like something Gene Starwind might say from Outlaw Star. However, that wasn't an anime network show.

This doesn't sound like Outlaw Star to me. After Gene sets out on his galactic adventure the philandering came to a halt, as I recall it.

My first thought, with that kind of dialogue, was Dragon Knight. While it is a Sentai/ADV show, I don't know if it was on TAN. This isn't a useful suggestion as I don't remember anything exactly like what the OP said.

It is absolutely NOT Outlaw Star.

The uncensored version of outlaw star didn't omit that much content, only a rather plot-significant fanservice episode along with some minor language, violence, and nudity...which reminds me of my disdain for not censoring that episode of Cowboy Bebop. They censored The Boondocks on adult swim, thankfully, so they could have censored that. I didn't need to see a man who had gone transgender due to a drug side effect...

yeah it was english. And dragon knight? i'll check that out.

checked it out and its nothing like that, its not much fantasy. more realistic with a hint of sifi type fantasy.

I didn't think that Dragon Knight fit, but I figured it couldn't hurt much to throw it out there. I blame Matt Greenfield and Doug Smith for recommending that to me lol.

Scifi with a sword? Any idea how long (episodes) the show was? Did all that you see happen in one episode or was it over multiple? It wasn't a movie, right?

I ask because, and I really hope that there is 0% chance of this being even close to right, to me that sounds like there's a slight chance that it could be a certain series related to Slayers that ADV dubbed that should not be named...

Can anyone confirm (or hopefully deny)??

EDIT: Do you remember what the characters looked like? In this epic showdown that you mentioned, do you remember what the main dude fought with?

For some reason Tears to Tiara, and Jyu-Oh-Sei, sound like they might fit your description, albeit they are relatively recent, and I don't believe the latter is from TAN.

As far as 'older' animes go, Escaflowne had some of that but I don't recall you mentioning of gigantic dragon-gundam-knight creatures.

It might even be Highlander: The Animated Series, but that's definitely not a Japanese anime.

I don't think it could be Tears to Tiara as that show is fairly recent.

I really don't think that it is Jyu-Oh-Sei: Planet of the Beast King either. I sincerely hope not, as that show was horrid. It was also dubbed by Funimation, which should rule it out, but if not, I don't remember any giant-sword battle scenes like the OP described. I remember a ridiculous time skip, the main char Thor being a wunderkind, a lot of bromance, and a final battle against . I remember that there was some minor love triangle thing going on, but the main character saw one chick in a sisterly way (and was uninterested, it's not Oreimo) and the other one didn't seem to get into a scenario like the one described by the OP. Most of the show took place in an undercivilized world, in clay buildings in a jungle.

But since you mentioned a show that was even worse than I was thinking of, I have a slight thought that it could be Lost Universe. It has older art that is semi-realistic. It was dubbed by ADV/Sentai, and it kinda had swords while still being scifi. I don't think that it is what the OP seeks though as I don't remember that exact scene, but I also don't remember if I saw the whole series.

It couldn't be Escaflowne. Not based upon that initial descriptor. I've watched the series and movie several times.
