This is a new development for anyone looking forward to Mass Effect 3, especially people who do not plan on buying any of the collector's editions. They are including an exclusive piece of DLC for the collector's edition that include an exclusive character with an exclusive bit of story that goes along with it. There are two main reasons I'm mad about this:
1. This is content that they developed along side the rest of the game before the release date. By all means this should be included with the main game itself, as it was developed as apart of the game. Then at some point they decided to cut it out of the game and make you pay an additional amount for it with the goal of monetizing the hell out of it.
2. This one is kind of spoilery, so be warned.
Warning: Spoiler!
This new playable character is a Prothean. A member of an extinct race that has been a pivotal plot component since the beginning of the first game. Hell, they've been important since Mass Effect: Revelations, a book that served as a prequel to the series. This character seems pretty god damned vital to the story and lore of the universe to have around, and frankly kind of insulting that they wont include this with the full game.
To me this is kind of insulting, and is going too far when it comes to pre-order/collector's edition bonus content. If this were just an alternate skin for a character, or if it were developed after the game came out, I would completely understand charging an additional amount for the content. But no, this was content developed and finished along side the game itself, and should be included with it.
Well, I'm going to step off my soap box, here's a video that explains things a bit better than I can, and sounds like it could be the beginning of a boycott to prevent this. I'm glad I haven't pre-ordered the game yet, or else I would be pissed.
Did anyone pick up the new PS Vita? It looks amazing, but the price for memory card/sticks are outrageous.
Slick
The Uncharted game has me intrigued, but I probably won't get it. I bought the PSP at launch, and my total playtime on that is probably three hours.
I've heard that memory cards are required to play the games, so that's pretty unsettling. I don't see why they didn't just include one with the system. Honestly, $100 for 32GB?
Have you seen the size of the memory cards for the Vita? I have, they're even smaller than the Memory Stick Pro Duo for the PSP, which is a huge factor in their high cost. We might be able to put 64 GB in an SD card, put you're trying to compare that to putting 32 GB in something that is only about a 16th the same physical size, which makes it about 8 times as difficult to do.
Also, I'm glad to here that Xenoblade Chronicles is coming to the US, hopefully it won't take me to long to afford it.
@Hornet65: We didn't have a WoW thread before, so I have to question just how many WoW players we have here. It's entirely possible that we have a group of online people who either aren't that interested in MMO games (which doesn't sound realistic) or that the majority of us just aren't interested in, or care about, WoW (not statistically impossible, though highly improbable). Not everyone who is interested in MMORPG's likes WoW.

I'm probably not going to bother like Hentai I got the original PSP at launch and maybe two or 3 hours of play on the thing.
My issue with it comes from the way they are handling the UMD to the new. In Japan they offered a trade-in discount program but here they did not offer it. They really should have made a way to hook the old to new up and transfer stuff instead of being greedy sap suckers.
Before I forget this thread will be more used for general discussion now. For larger game series or even just one game they can have their own threads or you can post here if you want to.
It's a really great game. If any of you haven't played it, check it out!!
The Weekend Deal is Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which is also a fantastic game! The DLC is also on sale.
I'm starting to wonder if there really should be a thread dedicated to Steam... Although there really isn't much to discuss except for the deals they have every day/week and any new games they've added... They do add a lot of indie games... Though instead of a Steam thread, there could just be an Indie Games thread... That's a good Idea as well.
