So has anyone else noticed how Russia is slowly returning to it's old Soviet ways, only this time following the lead of the Russian Orthodox Church? The laws that are getting passed in that country are frightening. It's a perfect example of why there should be lines drawn between church and state.

I still have a wild idea for a future combat game. U.S.A. reduces its world influence in order to focus on internal development, mainly newly discovered fusion power. It is very costly at first, so it can't be helped.

During that time, Russia and China find themselves competing for the spot of top supreme nation. They have to truly secure that spot before U.S.A. can get moving again after it does its fusion conversion. But, where U.S.A. has more or less tried to be world police, Russian and China are not so kind. Things go bad between the two, and well, future combat game.

P.S. On a very different note, why the heck are gas prices sky rocketing?

It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it. To boldly go where no main character will go...

There was a fire that put one of the largest oil refineries offline. Also, likely a mix of political uncertainty and the usual commodities games.

I've misted noticed now that at the end of Paranormal Activity 3, which takes place in 1988, they use the Paramount Pictures logo from that era. Nice touch.

Is it weird for a mother to obnoxiously call her adult son "sweetie" and "hon" all the time?

Not really .

I wonder if any of the gas hike is to do with them mixing ethanol in . Though I can't remember if the USA uses corn or sugar based. If corn that makes me really wonder if that is not part of the price hike given the drought issues .

Obnoxiously as in she's being sarcastic or obnoxiously as in she says it in a gooey sappy way? The former is just obnoxious, the latter might be someone with issues. Hard to know without all the dynamics. Which can be difficult to glean without being there.

Had a nice afternoon. I make some pretty good pie.

We stupidly use corn based, which is much less efficient than sugar ethanol. It's the primary reason why food prices have risen so much over the past few years, as the majority of prepared food in the US has some corn based product in it. But it could also be part of the reason for the price increasing.
