I also find this amusing, as over half my Biy Scouts troop turned out to be gay.

Not all that surprising, I was a Boy Scout in grade school in the 1960's. Some of the scouts then would later turn out to be gay adults.

Really, is it that hard to handle? Someone has "problems" and it isn't the kids.

These "elderly" commercials on TV these days scare me. I don't need to hear how hard and how much it hurts to use the toilet or for that matter what's hard and hurting. STFU!

Well, that last storm that came through (yesterday) caused a few power flickers, the last of which has somehow or another disconnected my computer (and no one else's) from the internet. I've tried everything I usually do when this happens (reboot cpu, replug router, unplug everything and wait 30 seconds, replace cord to my cpu) and none of it works. So, until we find a solution I guess I'm with no internet other than what this Wii of mine can supply. ^-^;

Does anyone have any suggestions? :$

^ I made this. :3
I wish for all of my days to be happy and filled with flowers! <3

I assume that your PC uses wireless to connect to the router & internet, WII's do.

Can you check to see if your PC is connecting to the router correctly? From a command prompt ( Start - Run - cmd ) type ipconfig and press enter. You should see some text about a "Wireless Network Connection" with an ip address following it, something like 192.168.0.(some 3 digit #).

If you don't see an IP Address it could be that your wireless card is damaged. I've seen lightning in storms do that before.

You should probably smell the surge protector and make sure you didn't suffer a brown out. The storm might've fried the equipment.

Guessing by "replace cord" means you are connected by Ethernet cable. It may be like mgosdin and Snowy Stampede damaged. I've seen a lightning strike make a cordless phone plugged in to a surge protector jump off the hook. Surge Protectors can really only do so much good.

Back in 1999 for example we had everything hooked up to them and the contractors the electric co-op hired to replace the transformers hooked them up in reverse. It sent all that voltage back through mine and the people next doors houses. Fried pretty much everything electronic. Surge protectors were a jumping before I could hit the master fuse box switch with a broom handle. Course we all settled for a decent sum out of court for replacement and fee of company coming and checking all the house wiring. It's how I got my first DVD player. Though I lost the best surround sound system I've ever owned.

What channel are you watching?

Try this:

start up your computer, and click START, and depending on your operating system there should be a "run" option. If there isn't search "run" in the search bar.

Once you have the run window up, type "cmd" (without the quotes) into the box and click OK. This will open up the command window. You want to type the following:

ipconfig /release

afterward, you want to type

ipconfig /renew

This often works when I have issues like that.

It's a little weird seeing the Universal logo at the start of Fate/Stay Night UBW and the Warner Brothers logo at the beginning of the GinTama movie.

I wonder if it's a copyright tool? Maybe it will be easier to stop pirating of these shows?

Probably not. It's just because they produced the shows in Japan and their logos were probably on the masters. I was meaning it's a little weird to see them on two Sentai releases.

Of course, I always hate it when home video companies strip the old studio logos off from films, or worse yet, update them with the modern logos. That's always annoyed me.
