I totally agree with you! I'm not sure where you're from, but in the U.S., nudity is considered worse than violence (Which, in my personal opinion, is totally backwards.)

Here are the U.S. TV content rating systems for you to look at. :)

I mean it probably would hav a TVMA rating. Nudity should be permited with that rating? It would be aired after 10:00pm.

Cable channels don't have as many restrictions as do the network tv channels like NBC, CBS, etc.

I think they technically air it uncensored.

at the last resort, the private areas of the naked person can be blurred out.

They censor anime when they show it in Japan too. Lets take High School of the Dead for example.

TV Broadcast edit: This version on public airwaves had major edits, often large parts of the screen were covered with black bars.

Cable edit: This version was shown on their version of cable but still had some edits for violence and too much skin showing.

DVD version: If you wanted no censorship this is the version you had to get in Japan.


The fact we get the uncut DVD versions over here does not mean that is the version they aired in Japan. In the case of nudity its often covered up with steam, black bars or other methods. To see the breasts anymore means usually having to buy the DVD. When it comes to genitalia even Hentai blurs that out as per Japanese censorship laws.
