We all have various anime shows that we love. But what's your holy trinity? What are the 3 anime's that not only you would watch, but have someone else watch with you?

Mine would be:

Voltron (who doesn't love a monster-of-the-week, giant mecha fight? I know, I know, some of you don't but still!)

Dragon Ball (loads of comedy and just the right amount of action.)

Robotech: Macross Saga (flying ships, crashes, and a love triangle, what's not to like?)
Thanks Sbitzer! You're the best!

Well, I think everyone can guess at least one of mine.

1. Chrono Crusade
This is the one anime I can't live without. I love the characters. I love the story. I love the dub. Hilary Haag and Greg Ayres were amazing in this. Jessica Boone was pretty damn good too. I show this one to everyone. I love the manga too, though I prefer the ending to the anime a little better. And they both still make me cry after all these years.

2. Maburaho
This is my favorite feel good show. It's not deep; It's not great, but is a lot of fun. This is one show I can watch again and again and love to show to new people.

3.X TV
This was one of the first anime series I collected (right after Descendants of Darkness). The story is amazing. The characters and world are rich and well developed. The background music is some of the best ever composed.
This sig courtesy of the dark and powerful Pretear.

So many series, so little space...
Let me see if I can narrow it down to just 3.

1. Black Lagoon

Hands down, the best dub I've ever heard.
Action galor, with a sarcastic gun-totting crass female lead, definitely makes this the top of my three.

2. Kaleido Star

Excellent dub and beautifully animated, with an extremely awesome soundtrack.
What more could you ask for?

3. Vandread

Another with a perfect dub and excellent storytelling.
I laugh... I cry... I feel with this series like none other.

1. High School of the Dead
Invited everyone at work to watch this.

2. Princess Nine
This is the first anime my wife watched with me.
She is a baseball fan.

3. Urusei Yasura
This one the first Animes that I saw in college dubbed.
Watched it with a crowd of people.

1. My Bride is a Mermaid
This is one of my all time favorite animes and keeps you laughing the entire time, guaranteed talk time about all the events that go on in it.

2. Toradora
One of my more dramatic choices, but if you're with that special someone it would definitely be great to watch, with all of its little comedic quarks, still keeping to the romantic point, especially near the end.

3. Maid-Sama!
Absolutely hilarious anime that constantly brings out new points on the same happening, great for group views.

2. Fruits Basket

3. Cowboy Beebop

Thank you for the awesome sigs Pretear! I do like my fish.

In no order:

Black Lagoon
Just like THE ALMIGHTY TCG said, it's probably the best dub that's ever been made. It's action-packed and looks great.

Macross Plus
This is what an OAV should be. Beautifully animated, with a compelling love story and characters you can't help but like. And you don't need to know anything about Macross to watch it.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (both seasons)
The show has a deep and engaging story that is especially appropriate for an older audience. It looks really good, and the dub is also excellent.

Tough call...

Clannad
Just the best all around anime series of recent memory, IMHO.

High School of the Dead
This series got me enjoying zombie flicks!

Please Teacher!
This series brought me back to anime about six years ago.

This is really hard but (in no particular order): Kaleido Star, Fruits Basket, Elfen Lied. I feel so dirty for not including Pretear. ;_;

Fruits Basket and Elfen Lied where easy picks for me but I kept flip-flopping on my 3rd.

Also, I'm sure you feel dirty for other reasons too. JUST KIDDING! JUST KIDDING! Don't hit me!

In order:

1. Hidamari Sketch
:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

2. Cromartie High School
:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

3. Clannad series
:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

I usually watch mostly subbed anime, and while I can appreciate dubbed anime... I think Cromartie has the best dubs I've ever heard. It makes me laugh 100% of the time, no matter what.

Everything I post is my own opinion.

So glad you added Fruits Basket to your list. Now we can wear the Melissa Ethridge t-shirts again.

Tough call on this one. Two right off the top of my head are Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo.

Cowboy Bebop is probably undeniably one of the best anime ever created and has surprisingly universal appeal. I know people that have no interest at all in anime that watched and loved Cowboy Bebop.

Champloo as well, very appealing whether you are a fan of anime or not. There's something there to love either way. Both this and Bebop are very fun and stylish anime with great characters and genuinely interesting stories to tell. Shinichiro Watanabe is an amazing director. Mitchiko to Hatchin is up there as one of my favorites as well for much the same reason as Bebop and Champloo.

I'll have to give some real thought to my third.

I wanted to update this, since this was posted before I watched PMMM.

1. Black Lagoon

Action galor, with a sarcastic gun-totting crass female lead, definitely makes this the top of my three.

2. Puella Magi Madoka Magica

This has definitely taken my #2 spot.
An impressive take on the mahō shōjo genre, that just sucked me in with its superb storytelling and absolutely stunning soundtrack.
Haven't watched the ENG. dub to completion yet, but from what I've heard thus far of it, it definitely pales next to the JP dub.

3. Kaleido Star

Excellent dub and beautifully animated, with an extremely awesome soundtrack.
