Pretty good episode on the whole.

Once again feels very rushed and as a fan of chibi and the comedy of the original, so far around 99% of the comedy in FMA B to me has not been funny, or feeling out of place. I can't determine if this is due to the problematic pacing or some other factor. I did like the action scenes though, those were pretty good.

A significant portion of the acting in last night's episode felt off to me, not as natural as the first series... something just isn't gelling. Having said that, I also agree with Zaku that Vic and Maxey continue to improve. Vic sounds the most consistent out of the previous episodes and Maxey who I thought was off to a good start initially, continues to fill the shoes of the role very well.

Caught up,

I enjoyed episode 2, it was a little different from the first series and the Truth character has me intrigued.

Episode 3 was okay, the first series did Liore so much better than the manga...

NMotice that the homonculi mentioned a "father" character, that was in the first series, hmmm.

Little Nina is still adorable!!

:pinch: Warning: Spoiler!

I thought the episode was well done, but again, I'm not sure how someone watching this story for the first time would feel about it. Perhaps a little confused.

I just got around to watching the first 4 episodes, and I have to say I'm fairly disappointed overall. The show certainly isn't bad, but the dub has hardly changed my feelings on it. It all just seems a bit too rushed to me, and seems to just be lacking something.

Lacking something is also something I can apply to the dub. It seems the majority of the cast is struggling to get into their characters. I wonder if perhaps the dub production was rushed just a bit too much. It's perhaps the biggest disappointment of all.

The biggest disappointment is that your actually watching this terrible show, instead of ignoreing it like I am .

My boyfriend and best friend both loved the original, so I'm kinda stuck.

That's why I'm just gonna wait and get it down the line to watch it dubbed. Maybe after all the sets are out.

Maybe.

How do they think this compares to the original to whatever they've seen? So far the majority of fans of the original seem disappointed with the early to mid episodes.

What they SHOULD have done was do a Haruhi Suzumiya - combine both old and new stuff. Reshown the first season of the original series followed by the newer "truer to the manga" second season and make it seem like the original second season never happend. Like a "Superman Returns" were it takes place immediately after Superman 2, thus ommiting 3 and 4 from history.
