Episode 11 –
Warning: Spoiler! It was hysterical to hear Tsubael say “frakking”! Azanael really did some major damage. Not only is Blue a mess, but she also managed to destroy the trust between Mari and Hagino. In Onomil's room, Onomil's spirit appears to a devastated Hagino. Hagino begs her forgiveness, but Onomil says that there's nothing to forgive and tells her not to “carry the world on her shoulders alone”. Too bad she couldn't have appeared to Azanael as well.
Mari can't concentrate on the play and seems distracted. She asks Yuko if her parents really killed each other and although Yuko says they aren't exactly sure of what happened, she does leave the possibility open. However, she later wonders who could have told Mari this. After this, Mari puts her heart and soul into rehearsing and perhaps is beginning to forgive Hagino a little as well.
Shivariel is sending a mega bomber after Blue, but when Azanael questions this decision, Shivariel reprimands her and tells her to take a “vacation”. Back at school, Mari finally gets a chance to talk to Hagino's hologram at the pool. Hagino tells Mari how sorry she is and takes responsibility for the accident, telling Mari that she lost everything because of her. Mari gets angry and yells at her for taking sole responsibility and trying to apologize for everything. She says that it isn't what she wants from Hagino.
Yuko finds Mari by the pool and thinks she's rehearsing her lines for the play alone, but then she's surprised to see Hagino's reflection in the pool. However, before she can react, the mega bomber appears overhead, accompanied by more ships. Hagino tells Mari she must go, but when Mari says that they haven't finished talking, Hagino makes a promise to return. The play rehearsals continue and Mari has greatly improved, but it's really only because she's speaking the words from her heart directly to Hagino in absentia.
In her quarters, Azanael is doing some investigating to determine why Shivariel is taking such drastic measures against Blue and she may have found something. Meanwhile, the mega bomber deploys and it looks like the damaged Blue won't be able to do anything about it. However, Blue is able to fire it's canons at the last minute and the bomb is destroyed, but it was a very close call. Tsubael is puzzled how they were able to survive and Hagino says that someone must have been watching over them. Then Hagino sees Onomil's spirit at her old station. And Azanael may have uncovered a possible conspiracy!
Episode 12 –
Warning: Spoiler!During breakfast in the dorm, Mari sees a television report regarding the alien ships and hears that it's most likely a “prank”. But at least Hagino returns. Work on the play continues and the girls model their costumes. Hagino's costume is very similar to her commander's uniform, yet she thinks the costume shows off “too much”. Yuko appears and compliments their progress so far.
Meanwhile, final preparations are being made for the invasion, but Azanael interrupts the meeting with her discovery. Kamioki Island was no accident, it was an experiment! Azanael has determined that the Emirl Force Drive was equipped with a faulty shield, so not only were the humans used as guinea pigs, but the crew of Blue as well. Now, Blue needs to be destroyed in order to cover up the evidence. Shivariel does not deny this and Azanael puts her gun to Shivariel's head. She believes that she can finally avenge Onomil and pulls the trigger, only to find that this Shivariel isn't real.
The girls at school have lunch together and Mari compliments their hard work. The dorm chief is more right than she knows when she says that – “this play is like a scene in our lives that we all share”. Yuko has called Hagino to her office and pulls a gun on her. She finally put everything together and knows Hagino is an alien. Hagino admits to the invasion, but also tells Yuko that she loves Earth and wants to protect it. However, Michiko overhears their conversation.
As the fake Shivariel disappears, the real one appears on screen and admits that everything Azanael said is true. Another fake Shivariel appears and confirms that the “experiment” was necessary to develop a new thought condensing weapon. Azanael is ordered captured, but she gets away. As she fights the guards in the hangar, Onomil appears to her. They hug, but Onomil tells Azanael that she's imaginary as more Onomils appear. They merge together and another Shivariel appears and asks Azanael how she likes the new weapon. Shivariel says that they will use it to rule over the humans. Azanael runs but is shot down by the guards.
The school festival has begun and Mari gets a nice surprise when her grandmother shows up and Mari is able to thank her for sending her to this school. Hagino is up on the hill overlooking the school and talks with Tsubael. There's only a matter of days left till the invasion. At least Tsubael finally sees the appeal of humans. Yuko thinks back to her talk with Hagino when she learned that Earth has no defense against the Arume. However, the most important thing to Hagino right now is putting on the play.
The guards turn Azanael over and say that she's dying, but as Azanael's blood spreads to her necklace, it activates her ship. The ship fires upon the guards and in turn, starts a fire. Funny to think this might be Azanael's final revenge. However, the barely alive Azanael somehow manages to escape in her ship. Instead of pursuing her, Shivariel gives the order to destroy Blue at any cost.
Mari and Hagino are back by the pool to finish their talk. Hagino tells her that in saving her life, she saved herself as well. Hagino was afraid to tell Mari the truth and Mari slaps her face for not telling her. Then she pushes Hagino into the pool, but jumps in after her. Hagino admits she loves Mari and a watching Tsubael decides that she likes her commander best when she's smiling.
