I just watched this guy Orlando on "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader". He was truly the dumbest person ever to play the game. He got every question wrong except 2 cheats. The final cheat was a first grade question, and he had to use a copy. He ended up with $500.00 and didn't go for the bonus question. He reminds me of the lady who said that an Elephant was bigger than the Moon!

Some people also just panic or freeze up from the pressure of being on TV or dealing with real money.

It's possible that the guy could have been the smartest guy they tested, but once he got out on stage, with half a dozen cameras and a crowded audience, he lost it under the pressure and couldn't think straight.

Or they intentionally went for the guy who did awful on the test so they didn't have to hand out so much money.

Impossible to test for the pressure of the real thing. If you fail at the test you just don't get on the show. If you fail on the show you loose money an embarrass yourself on TV.

It also doesn't help when most of the time it's useless knowledge that your brain could care less about and then when the main event begins...it shuts down.

I feel bad for all the elementary teachers watching. lol

I love that show. There are a lot of people on that show who need to have their diplomas questioned.
