So apparently there is a three day long anime convention called Metrocon that will be taking place in July just a little over an hour away from where I live. I know I could just look up information on conventions and what not, but I wouldn't mind hearing about some of the experiences people on here have had at conventions since I am very interested in attending with a friend of mine. Just wanted to know if it is fun and worth $46 lol

You should try and make it out. I looked up all the events and what not, there will be raves and robot fights and a masquerade and a human chess match and---I could go on lol All of the venures sound incredible too. You have until July to come up with $46 or $56 if you want to go to the masquerade

Dude, cons are awesome! Ya get to see so many people at them, all decked out in costumes. There's artists and people who work in the anime business at them too, so they're a great place to learn some stuff and meet some of your favorite voice actors and directors. I suggest going!

Oh I am definitely going, and luckily my 18th birthday is in less than 10 days, so hopefully I will be gettin' some cash to put on the side. I am guessing the items for sale like shirts, cds and figures are really expensive since they are imported?
