From Director Tetsuro Araki (Deathnote, Black Lagoon), and adapted from the highly successful manga of the same name by Daisuke Sato, comes one of the hottest new shows of the Summer, High School of the Dead. A deadly new disease is ravaging the world, turning the populace into mindless zombies, and the number of infected is skyrocketing by the second. As their fellow classmates and teachers succumb to the infection around them, a small group of students at Fujimi High School are fighting for their lives after surviving the initial outbreak. It is up to Takashi Komuro to unite the group of weary survivors and try to escape the horrors that surround them. In this new world of the living dead...will they escape? (Via TAN)
I kinda would go for Takagi. I mean she can be a bit of a pain to deal with but her smarts would be a very good thing to have. She can be the brains, I can be the brawn.
This episode was predictable. There jus had to be an idiot in the begining to get bit by a zombie and spred it around the school... also never put your arms around the head of a zombie (rei's boyfriend)
Overall, it was an awesome show. It was pretty funny too.

Crstal F, is right. Fan service will be fan service. At least the anime's good even with fan service. Usually any animw with fan service is just chaotic. :3

It actually makes some sense given the plague scenario that is happening. The zombies are going to be centralized in major metropolitan areas. They aren't going to travel far on their own due to the whole mindless thing. So, if you find a small, isolated country, like Japan, nuking the major cities would clear out most of the zombies in that country. Then, a military force could go in and clear out the remaining few zombies, allowing an island to be created that is zombie free.
Or, it could just be a way of showing that the entire world is going crazy. The order to fire came not from the actual president, but from someone several steps down in the chain of command. That someone was probably going crazy by then, as were those who actually fired the missles.
