Glass Maiden
He’s an Old Fashioned P.I., but This Dame Ain’t Like Any Other Dame on the Planet! Shu’s a detective, the brooding, enigmatic type with an eye for the ladies. Together with his kid brother Akira, and ‘the girls’ Manami and Ayaka, he runs an investigative agency that takes on the odd case here and there. Okay, odder than usual, given that their main broker is a cross-dresser and their closest associate’s a doctor with a ‘thing’ about cosplay. And then the oddest case of all comes through: a ‘package’ intended for ‘delivery’ that turns out to be a lot more trouble than expected. You see, Shu’s always considered himself a quick study (he can see through most lies in a second) but when he goes head on with a girl who doesn’t even know who she is, he’ll be seeing through more than he ever imagined seeing through. Unfortunately, there are other people who want Sara back and they know a lot more about who, and what, she actually is than she does! Old fashioned detective work meets the latest in modern weapons technology as sci-fi meets private eye in GLASS MAIDEN!

Porilyn wants to hire Shu, the owner of S&A Detective Agency, for a big case. Unfortunately, Shu is quite the lady’s man and is rather difficult to find when he goes out for some fun. While his brother, Akira, is calling up every girl in town searching for Shu, apprentice detectives Manami and Ayaka decide that they can handle the job themselves. They go to the meeting spot only to discover that the “package” they were supposed to pick up was a woman. Things take a turn for the worse and Manami and Ayaka find themselves in the middle of a gun fight. Just when things looked bad, Shu shows up to the rescue! It’s up to S&A Detective Agency to protect their “package” and keep her alive.

Porilyn has ordered Shu to protect the blond woman he picked up, but she isn’t looking too good. She has such a high fever that she makes everyone around her start to feel hot. Luckily for Shu, his detective agency is located just above Happy Clinic, where a cosplay-loving nurse and perverted doctor work. Doc does a check-up and discovers that it’s a miracle the woman is still alive considering how high her fever is. He thinks that she has been given some sort of strange steroid and the fever is one of its side effects. He’ll work to keep her alive, but that’s no easy job when men can’t even touch her without getting zapped! Once the lady feels a little better, she runs away from the clinic in fear that her presence there will only harm everyone. Manami and Ayaka go after her and as luck would have it, the three of them run right into the bad guys! Shu comes to the rescue just in the nick of time and everyone returns to the medical clinic. While there, Manami decides to give the lady a new name to celebrate her newly obtained freedom.

Manami’s high school friend, Yuko, has gone missing. With a music producer interested in hiring Yuko and her brother Seiji, Manami has to hurry and find her friend fast. Rags Town might come across as a small town, but it can seem monstrously big when searching for someone. While Manami and Ayaka are desperately searching for Yuko, Shu decides to check out the waste disposal facility. Just as he’s catching onto something, he runs into the ever-nosy reporter, Sophie. He tricks her into leaving the facility with him and warns her to stay away from that place after showing her a good time. Despite their long date, Shu just can’t seem to shake two women who have been following him ever since he left the dump.

Ayaka sees Sara gasping in pain on the roof of their building. Her arm appears to have transformed into glowing glass. Ayaka runs downstairs and informs everyone on her occult message board that she saw a glass maiden, but no one seems to believe her. Or at least, no one online does. The cops seem rather intrigued with how her post matches with their glass maiden eye-witness’s statement. Meanwhile, Manami sets up a meeting with Yuko and Seiji. Before Manami and Seiji can meet up with Yuko, the young girl gets attacked by BW-?. Manami and Seiji show up just in time to see Yuko burst into flames and transform into glass. Manami feels guilty over asking Yuko to meet with her there and Seiji is out-right unable to accept the death of his sister. After hearing about what has happened to Ayaka and Manami, Shu confronts Sara about who—or what—she is. Sara confesses that she only remembers things that have happened to her recently, but even those recent memories are enough to curdle blood.

After police detectives JJ and Lawrence read Ayaka’s post about her glass maiden sighting, they decide to give Ayaka a little visit. Manami and Akira help Ayaka shoo the police away, but Lawrence orders JJ to keep a watch over their agency. Porilyn has been told by her sponsor that she must meet with Kito, the man who turned Sara into a glass maiden. Porilyn isn’t about to walk into a hive’s nest without back-up, so she has Shu come along as her bodyguard. Sara and Akira follow them to the meeting in a separate car, just in case something should happen. As it would turn out, Manami isn’t too keen on the idea of possibly giving Sara back to the “bad guys.” She finds her way to the meeting spot and attempts to crash the party, only to in turn get herself caught. In a meeting where everyone is constantly turning the tables, it looks like Kito has finally caught the upper hand.

Sara storms the building to rescue Manami and Ayaka. When Kito sees Sara running around fighting, he is ecstatic since he had thought she would be on the verge of death. Shu and Sara get into a gun fight against Kyrie and her subordinates while Kito and Porilyn continue their verbal battle. In the middle of the fight, Manami almost gets shot, but Sara jumps in front of her and takes the bullet. Knowing that they’re losing, the group quickly escapes the restaurant. Porilyn and Shu decide it’s time Sara left Rags Town, but all of the exits have been blocked off by the SWAT. It seems that after that gun fight, Porilyn’s boss and Kito’s sponsor have teamed up...

After watching Sara get shot, Manami has decided she needs a gun if she’s seriously going to protect Sara. Unfortunately, no one in town is willing to sell her one! After a long night of fruitless searching, she goes back home. On the way to her room, she runs into Ayaka. The two realize that they are good friends and finally make up from the quarrel that started over Yuko a while back. Meanwhile, the SWAT has taken over the entire city. JJ realizes that something big is going on and he’s going to get to the bottom of it. He and Sophie go to the waste disposal facility to investigate, only to find that another SWAT team is seizing the place. Now they’re more determined than ever to find out what’s going on!

Sophie and JJ are recording the underground battle between the glass maidens and the SWAT. While they’re at it, they try to collect as much information about this secret laboratory as possible. Just as they finish gathering information, the battle comes to an end. Now there’s nothing to distract the guards and researchers from Sophie and JJ! In a desperate race to escape, the two get separated and Sophie gets caught. Kito injects a drug into Sophie before letting her leave the facility. By the time Shu finds her, one of her arms has already turned into glass!

Shu rushes Sophie to Happy Clinic, but there isn’t much Doc can do for her. Whatever Kito injected into Sophie is reacting poorly with Doc’s home-made suppressant. Sophie gives Lawrence her contacts, which contain evidence that Kito has been conducting illegal experiments. She then turns into a glass maiden and shatters! Lawrence gives the contacts to Shu since he’s afraid that they would get destroyed if he took them back to the police station with him. Apparently whoever is pulling the strings has control over the SWAT. All of the information the police had gathered on the glass maidens has suddenly gone missing! Thanks to a tracking device planted on Sophie, Kyrie has finally found Happy Clinic. Her and her subordinates are instructed to apprehend HW-9 and Doc. The all-out assault has begun!

After escaping to Porilyn’s bar, Ayaka and Manami decide to run by the pharmacy to get some medicine and bandages for the wounded Akira. They get caught by Kyrie on their way back to the bar and taken to the underground research facility. They aren’t the only ones who get caught, either. Doc waits just a little too long to leave his beloved clinic and gets caught as well. When Kito meets Doc, he realizes that Doc is actually an expert in the bioweapon field. Kito asks Doc to join forces with him, which would allow Doc to begin conducting research anew. With Porilyn off the case and Ayaka and Manami held hostage, things are looking bleak for Sara, Shu and Akira. Will Shu finally cave in and hand Sara over?

Shu decides to give in to Kito’s demands and trade Sara for Ayaka and Manami. At about the same time they arrive for the trade, Lawrence has the SWAT charge into the research facility. Lawrence discovers that Kito is going to blow up the nuclear waste processing plant and destroy all of Diver City. Meanwhile, Shu manages to rescue Manami and Ayaka without actually going through with the trade. During the ensuing gun fight, BW- ? awakens and goes berserk, attacking friend and foe alike. The only one who can stop the nuclear explosion is Doc, but he can’t get by the monster to reach the control room. With time running out, Sara makes a desperate move!

Sara grabs onto the berserk BW-? and has Shu shoot through her. When her blood covers the monster, it is unable to rejuvenate and quickly turns into glass. Doc rushes into the research facility and begins cracking the security code so he can prevent the facility from exploding. Shu and Akira go after Kito, who is running for the hills. At the cost of his precious car, Shu is able to stop Kito and put and end to his evil scientific experiments once and for all.
