Happy Friday, anime peeps!  Surprise, surprise:  a new show premieres this week here on our little slice of the internet.  Besides that, we've got some new shows hitting iTunes, the second (or third?) return of our time-slot jumping, sister guessing show that starts with an N, and your usual Bits & Pieces for the week!

 

 

Oh, Anime Names...

Intrigue in the Bakumatsu - Irohanihoheto slices and dices its way to your computer screens today. Strange name for an...oh, wait, that's right.  Anime.  Anyway, Intrigue is coming at you with an English dub right out of the gate, and let me tell you, this take on the tail end of the samurai era looks almost three or four times as good as its name sounds, and that ain't bad.

 

Intrigue in the Bakumatsu - Irohanihoheto

It’s the Bakumatsu, the final years of the Tokugawa Shogunate, and wandering mercenary Yojiro Akizuki travels the length and breadth of Japan. In the course of his quest, he crosses paths with a traveling theater group whose members have their own dark agenda. Is it a chance meeting or the result of some, as yet, undiscovered conspiracy?

Persona 4 ep. 1 - "Director's Cut" + More Now On iTunes

If you're one of those people who stay on iTunes 24/7, the stay just got more pleasant.  This week we've got a bit of a haul going on in our iTunes area, with a couple of new shows and films for you to look over:

 

• The Persona 4 English dub's Collection 1 is now available to purchase. Don't forget, buying the Season Pass also nets you the DIRECTOR'S CUT of ep. 1!  I heard there are a couple of extra minutes in there over the broadcast version, so you might definitely want to check that out.

• K-ON!! Season 2 Collection 1, Intrigue in the Bakumatsu and No. 6 are now live and include the Season Pass option, so you can nab the entire thing as it rolls out without having to purchase each episode.

• Three new films are also ready for you guys:  This Boy Can Fight Aliens, Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, and My Beautiful Girl Mari are all now live on iTunes.
